Ricki and the Flash

Demme this film stars Meryl Streep, Mamie Gummer, Kevin Kline and
Audra McDonald. A woman in her middle ages starts to reconnect with
the family she abandoned for a music career that ultimately failed.
While this film is
pretty predictable it stumbles through the motions pretty well. Some
of the musical numbers seemed a little longer than was necessary but
generally the story is told decently enough. The highlight of the
film is seeing Streep in such a different role and as always she
gives a good performance.
