Rough Sea at Dover
(1895)
Directed by Brit Acres
and Robert W. Paul this is an early short film. We see the sea at
Dover in England as waves crash against a wall.
Weighing in at only 40
seconds long there is not a lot to this film and it only really
served as a proof of concept in it's day. There is no narrative but
there is always something slightly spell binding about the hypnotic
movement of the waves. The image quality is not the best but for it's
age this film has survived well.
