Romancing the Stone

Zemeckis this film stars Kathleen Turner, Micahel Douglas and Danny
DeVito. A Romance novelist travels to South America to try and help
her sister who has been kidnapped by jewel thieves.
Given when it was made
this film inevitably will end up getting compared to the Indiana
Jones franchise and it comes off as a lot weaker. The script for this
film lacks depth in pretty much all areas from plot to character and
even the action sequences come off as a token effort. This film was a
box office smash in it's day but is decidedly middle of the road in
nearly all areas.
