Diabolical Pickpocket
(1908)
Directed by Segundo de
Chomon this is an early short film. A thief uses a number of magic
tricks to elude the police.
Very simple in terms
of concept the plot, such as it is, is a decent excuse for a number
of camera tricks. The special effects are decent for the period but
not ground breaking. Over all this is a good example of early cinema
if not massively remarkable.
