The Martian (2015)

Scott this film based on the novel of the same name stars Matt Damon,
Jessica Chastain, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Jeff Daniels. During an
emergency evacuation an astronaut is left behind on Mars and presumed
dead.
There is a lot of hype
surrounding this film and while it is enjoyable I found it to be a
bit of a let down. While our protagonist does have some charm to him
the film lacks much character or character development otherwise and
it shows too many solutions rather than the process of problem
solving for my taste. Having a great cast and director helps but at
times some of the CGI seemed a little on the weaker side.
