Ghosts Before Breakfast
(1928)
Directed by Hans
Richter this film stars Werner Graeff, Walter Gronostay and Paul
Hindemith. Various people try to go about their morning routine but
are hampered by unseen ghosts.
There is a lot of fun
trick photography to enjoy here but that is about the limit of this
film. For such a care free and silly film it is odd to see that this
is one the Nazis singled out for banning but I suppose that just goes
to show how stupid the Nazis were. If you enjoy some of the early
films of Georges Melies then this is one for you.
3/5
