The Bouncer (2018)

Leclercq this film also known as “Lukas” stars Jean-Claude van
Damme, Sveva Alviti and Sami Bouajila. A man with a past he wants to
forget works as a bouncer to pay for his daughter's expensive school
but gets drawn into the criminal world.
Thanks to the 90s I
was expecting a pretty bad film filled with nothing but action from a
Jean-Claude van Damme film but this is a surprisingly gritty piece
that is fairly grounded. The plot has some faint echoes of Shane
(1953) and does a decent enough job without being remarkable. As
thrillers go this is a decent watch.
