Two Thousand Women
(1944)
Directed by Frank
Launder this film stars Patricia Roc, Phyllis Calvert, Jean Kent and
Flora Robson. Three crashed RAF pilots find themselves in a women's
internment camp in France during WW2.
Pretty simple in terms
of being a comedy this is a fun little war time film. The plot is no
great shakes but there are a few decent jokes scattered about. For
the time there are some progressive lines in the film, even the
suggestion that one of the heroines is a lesbian.
3/5
