Jenkins this film based on the novel of the same name stars Anna
Paquin, Holiday Grainger, Gregor Selkrik and Lauren Lyle. Abandoned
by her husband a single mother in 1950s Scotland starts a
relationship with a female doctor.
Unfortunately the plot
of this film is filled with cliches and excessively reaching for its
bee metaphor. The story is well intentioned but ultimately a
disappointment. Anna Paquin goes all in for a Scottish accent and
manages to do it without making a mess of it which is nice to see.
