Shoplifters (2018)
Written & directed
by Hirokazu Kore-eda this film stars Lily Franky, Sakura Ando and
Mayu Matsuoka. A chosen family living on the poverty line takes in a
four year old girl who is abused by her parents.
This is a film about
people society has discarded that walks towards an inevitably sad
conclusion. I really enjoyed the film and found the ending fairly
heart breaking. Well made and with plenty to say I highly recommend
this film.
