Kong: Skull Island

Vogt-Roberts this film stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John
Goodman, Brie Larson and John C. Reilly. A team of American
scientists, soldiers and hangers on head to a newly discovered island
to explore it before the Soviets find it.
It is very clear what
the cinematic inspirations of this film are and visually it looks
great. Unfortunately both the script and the performances are fairly
limp, failing to live up to the direction. While this is a decent
enough watch it always feels like it's falling short of it's
potential.
