The Hand of the Artist
(1906)
Directed by Walter R.
Booth this is a short film from the silent era of cinema. An artist
brings a man and woman to life, watches them dance then crumples them
up and throws them away.
Based on simple camera
tricks this is a fairly decent short film but not overly remarkable
in it's content. Notable for being the first British animated film it
is probably better as a historical milestone than entertainment.
While I enjoyed this short it is not one that will linger in my
memory.
