To the Wonder (2012)

by Terrance Malick this film stars Ben Affleck, Olga Kurylenko,
Rachel McAdams and Javier Bardem. An American man brings his
Ukrainian lover and her daughter to live with him in the US.
Filled with lovely
images and great shots this is a very slow journey through the
relationship of two people with a priest's crisis of faith tacked on.
Very much this is a film of ambience rather than detail which can be
off putting as is the glacial pace. Some will love this film but for
me it felt like it kept the viewer at arms length from it's
characters too much.
