Emmerich this film stars Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldbulm, Bill Pullman,
Maika Monroe and Jesse T. Usher. Twenty years after Earth fought off
an alien invasion it's time for round two.
While you would never
accuse this film's predecessor of being smart this film jumps from
one action sequence to another with little to string them together.
There is no heart or character this film and no one learns anything
or gets punished for their mistake. I found the action sequences to
be a garbled mess of excess as well, there is no real attempt to have
the scenes be cohesive or tell a clear story.
