The Magic Sword (1901)
Directed by Walter R.
Booth this is an early silent film. A young knight goes to visit a
lady and gets menaced by various super natural beings.
When it comes to the
plot of this film we have a fairly simple narrative but there is at
least a narrative and it is easy to follow. Where the film shines is
in that it is a cornucopia of early special effects. Highly
impressive for it's age the film mixes lots of special effects in one
shot with a great back drop.
4/5
