by Dan Gilroy this films stars Denzel Washington, Colin Farrell and
Carmen Ejogo. After the death of the man he works for a reclusive
lawyer is forced out into the world.
Mixing ethical
questions about the legal profession with hints of Shane (1953) this
is an average legal film. The plot is predictable and the characters
familiar so the 2 hour run time does drag a little. As always Denzel
Washington is good in everything he is in but the script lacks a
little freshness in my opinion.
