The Owl Who Married a
Goose: An Eskimo Legend (1976)
Directed by Caroline
Leaf this is a short cartoon funded by the National Film Board of
Canada. An owl and a goose shack up together but find raising a
family together difficult.
Taking a simple
parable this cartoon is a decent metaphor for the fusion of different
cultures in Canada and the problems they struggle with. I enjoyed the
animation style which is simple but artistic. The use of dialogue in
Inuktitut does make the film a little hard to follow but is still
good.
