Ill Manors (2012)
Written and directed
by Ben Drew this film stars Riz Ahmed, Ed Skrein, Lee Allen and
Anouska Mond. Various interconnected stories set in a council estate
in London play out over the course of a day.
The plot of this film
is fairly standard but presented well in the form of seemingly
unrelated stories that combine well. Using rap music for narration
adds a unique element to film that works well and fits in nicely with
the world of the film. Considering the low budget and inexperience of
a lot of the cast this is an impressive first film.
